I came in short by one pound this week. I should not have taken the two days off. This week I plan to do the full week of cardio. Those two days make a big difference. If I stay with it I could be down to 150 in 3.5 weeks. Keeping track makes all the difference in the world. My goal is 3 pounds a week but if I can lose 4 pounds, I'll take it. If I can stay with it I could be down to my goal of 140 by mid-June. That would be amazing.
With the cardio, I'm trying to work up to 10 kilometers per day. Once I get there I'll turn up the dial and make it a bit harder. Apparently, it's not about speed. One step at a time or should I say one pedal at a time.
When we moved here I gave up my gym equipment. There just wasn't any room. So I went looking for strength training routines using resistance bands. I found 3 full body routines and 3 ab routines for beginners. They are all 35 minutes and under. Not sure yet when I'll start them. I thought about losing some of this excess fat first but I want to start looking good now. I'll have to think about this.
It's only been two weeks since I started and I'm already feeling my self-confidence coming back. One thing I am noticing is the cardo doesn't give me the same surge of energy as the strength training does. I guess I just answered my own question. Anything that can give you that lift and make you feel great should be done immediately.
I'm also thinking of digging out the treadmill. It's under a pile of boxes right at the moment. I thought about using it to go for a 30-minute walk after my supper. I would rather go outside for a walk but at this time of year, the black flies are crazy and out for blood. I'm also very allergic to their bite and I hate bug dope.
It's all coming together and I'm feeling quite proud of myself. The hardest part is staying motivated. I've been weighing in every day. The slightest loss of weight helps to keep me on track and the more I exercise, the easier it is to stay focused.
It's a good day!
